LIFESTYLE AMBASSADOR & MODERN BUTLER

We are seeking an exceptional Lifestyle Ambassador & Modern Butler for a leading luxury resort in Singapore.
 

This is a highly personalised guest-facing role for an individual who combines the instincts and discretion of a modern Butler with the personality, cultural knowledge and creativity of an exceptional lifestyle ambassador.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the guest experience, developing a genuine understanding of individual preferences and using this knowledge to create thoughtful, tailored and memorable experiences throughout their stay.
 

This is not a traditional Butler position centred purely around technical service. We are looking for someone who understands people, builds relationships naturally and can transform a simple conversation or observation into an exceptional experience.
 

The Role

Working closely with international guests and families, you will become their trusted point of contact throughout their stay, anticipating requirements, coordinating arrangements and creating experiences that feel personal rather than programmed.
 

You will be expected to:

• Develop a detailed understanding of individual guest preferences, interests and expectations.

• Curate personalised experiences around culture, food, wellness, family, celebrations and individual interests.

• Bring Singapore to life through strong knowledge of its culture, heritage, neighbourhoods, cuisine and experiences.

• Identify experiences beyond conventional tourist recommendations and adapt them to the individual guest.

• Arrange dining, transportation, activities, private experiences and special occasions.

• Coordinate private dining, celebrations and experiences within the guest's villa or residence.

• Anticipate requirements and act proactively rather than waiting for requests.

• Work seamlessly with Concierge, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Spa and other departments to deliver the guest's plans.

• Maintain exceptional discretion when looking after VIPs, families and high-profile international guests.

• Build genuine guest relationships whilst understanding when guests require engagement and when they require privacy.

• Resolve requests and challenges personally, taking ownership until completion.

• Record and communicate guest preferences so that personalisation becomes increasingly sophisticated throughout the stay.
   

The Person We Are Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in luxury hotels and resorts, Butler service, guest relations, VIP services, luxury residences, concierge, lifestyle management or private members' clubs.

However, the individual's personality and capabilities are more important than their current job title.

You should be:
 

Naturally engaging – someone who can begin a conversation comfortably with guests from different cultures and backgrounds.

Culturally curious – genuinely interested in Singapore, food, heritage, arts, wellness, experiences and discovering new things.

Highly intuitive – able to read people, recognise subtle cues and understand what may make someone's stay exceptional.

Creative – capable of developing an experience rather than simply recommending something from an established list.

Emotionally intelligent – understanding different personalities, generations, cultures and expectations.

Knowledgeable and connected – knowing where to go, who to speak to and how to make unusual requests happen.

Discreet and polished – comfortable looking after sophisticated international guests whilst remaining natural and approachable.

A strong communicator – excellent spoken English is essential, with additional languages particularly welcomed.
 

What Makes This Role Different?

We are not simply looking for someone who can recommend a restaurant, book an excursion or deliver traditional Butler services.

We are looking for someone who can listen to a guest and think:

What could I create for this person that they would never have thought to ask for themselves?

A conversation about food might become a private culinary experience.

An interest in local culture might become an introduction to a craftsman, neighbourhood or tradition.

A family holiday might become an experience designed around the interests of the parents and children rather than a standard family activity.

A special occasion might become something completely individual, quietly orchestrated without the guest needing to organise it themselves.

That ability to move from service to personalisation, and from personalisation to experience creation, is at the heart of this position.
 

Experience

Candidates should ideally bring:

• Previous luxury hospitality, private service or lifestyle experience.

• Experience dealing directly with discerning international guests.

• Strong knowledge of Singapore and an enthusiasm for its culture and experiences.

• Proven ability to personalise service rather than simply follow established procedures.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Confidence coordinating multiple departments and external partners.

• Butler experience is advantageous, but traditional Butler experience alone will not define the successful candidate.
