Overview

Aspire Globally is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a prestigious five-star property in Singapore for an exceptional Head Butler.

This is a senior guest-facing leadership appointment for an accomplished luxury hospitality professional who understands that modern Butler service extends far beyond traditional technical skills.

The successful candidate will lead and develop the Butler team whilst creating highly personalised guest experiences, combining exceptional service standards with emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, anticipation and genuine guest engagement.

We are looking for a modern Butler leader, someone capable of inspiring a team to understand their guests as individuals and create experiences that are intuitive, personal and memorable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation and development of the Butler team.

• Create a culture of highly personalised and anticipatory guest service.

• Act as a visible role model for exceptional luxury hospitality.

• Ensure each guest receives a seamless and individually tailored experience.

• Develop strong relationships with VIPs, international travellers and returning guests.

• Encourage Butlers to understand guest preferences, personalities and individual needs.

• Work closely with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and other departments to deliver seamless service.

• Lead daily briefings and ensure important guest intelligence is effectively communicated.

• Coach, mentor and develop Butlers through practical training, observation and feedback.

• Maintain exceptional presentation, service and operational standards.

• Personally support complex guest requests, VIP arrangements and service recovery.

• Identify opportunities to surprise and delight guests beyond their stated expectations.

• Continuously evolve the Butler service to reflect changing expectations within modern luxury hospitality.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for considerably more than a technically accomplished Butler.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional people person and luxury hospitality professional, combining traditional Butler values with a contemporary understanding of personalised service.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• Proven leadership experience within luxury Butler, Guest Relations, Guest Experience, Front Office or private residence operations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Natural warmth, confidence and presence with sophisticated international guests.

• Strong emotional and cultural intelligence.

• An instinctive ability to anticipate guest preferences and individual needs.

• Excellent leadership, coaching and team-development capabilities.

• Discretion, professionalism and impeccable personal standards.

• The confidence to make decisions and take ownership of the guest experience.

• A genuine passion for creating memorable and highly personalised experiences.
   

Preferred Experience

• International five-star hotel or resort experience.

• Previous Head Butler, Butler Manager or senior Butler leadership experience.

• Luxury hotel, resort, residence or villa operations.

• Experience serving VIP, UHNW and internationally travelled guests.

• Exposure to Forbes, LQA or equivalent luxury service standards.

• Strong cross-cultural experience within Asia, the Middle East, Europe or leading international luxury destinations.

• Experience developing or modernising a Butler service operation.

• Formal Butler training or recognised luxury hospitality qualifications would be advantageous.
